Privacy policy

Who we are

Haard is a family assistant in development, made in Belgium. For questions about your data, email privacy@haard.app. For anything else, email hallo@haard.app.

What data we collect

That’s all we need. While Haard is still being built, this is a simple website with a waitlist—there are no accounts and we collect no family data.

How we use it

We never sell your data or show advertising. We plan to earn money from a fair subscription, not from your data.

Our legal basis

We process your email address and the linked confirmed signup, language, any answer, and campaign parameters from the signup link based on your consent: you choose to join the waitlist and thereby let us measure interest in Haard and which campaign led to the signup. The functional language cookie and vote marker are strictly necessary to apply the choices you made yourself, so they do not require separate consent. For cookieless, session-based site analytics, we rely on our legitimate interest in improving the site; we limit that processing by storing no analytics data in your browser and not linking it to you as a person. If you allow us to measure a little more with analytics cookies and masked session recordings, we ask for separate consent, which you can always decline or withdraw.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until launch and for as long as you want to remain on the waitlist. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. We keep the linked signup analytics until launch or for no more than 24 months after signup, whichever comes first, and delete them sooner if you ask. The language cookie remains for 30 days. Each functional vote cookie remains for no more than 180 days. You can always remove both through your browser. We keep other usage data no longer than necessary.

Who we share it with

For the website and waitlist, we work with a small number of carefully selected processors for email and site and signup analytics. That data remains in Europe. Our emails come from hallo@haard.app. The separate terms below apply to research interviews.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data and to object to its processing. Simply email privacy@haard.app and we will take care of it. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

Research interviews

Solvra BV (company number 1030.337.661) uses your answers and, if requested, your name and email address to select and contact participants for the current research round. Our legal basis is the legitimate interest in recruiting a small, relevant group of parents for research.

Tally processes the form data. Google processes email, scheduling, the restricted participant register, and coded session notes. If you later separately agree to a recording, PLAUD processes the recording, transcript, and automatically generated notes. Some processing may take place outside the EEA under an adequacy decision or contractual safeguards. Email privacy@haard.app for more information.

If we do not invite you, we delete your Tally submission within 30 days. We normally keep email and scheduling data for up to 90 days after the last contact. We keep a participant’s screening, register entry, and raw notes for no more than 12 months and review them after 6 months. We delete recordings and derived files no later than 30 days after the interview.

You may object to screening and contact and request access, correction, deletion, or restriction by emailing privacy@haard.app. You may withdraw consent for interview notes or a recording. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority using the link above.

Changes

As Haard grows, we will update this policy. The date above shows when it was last changed.
